Sweet Bocas is a founder-created private estate in the Bocas del Toro archipelago of Panama, shaped over years by a commitment to nature, craftsmanship, and intentional living. What began as a degraded wetland has been carefully restored into a thriving island sanctuary, guided by respect for the land and its rhythms.

The estate is not a resort. It is designed for presence rather than pace—hosting families, gatherings, and curated experiences that value depth, privacy, and meaning. Architecture, gardens, and waterways are integrated with care, using local materials and traditional skills, while modern systems allow Sweet Bocas to operate off-grid and in harmony with nature.

Offered selectively and reserved for one group at a time, each stay is hosted with discretion and quiet attention to detail—allowing guests to arrive, exhale, and feel truly at home.

about the CREATOR

Annick Bélanger, a Canadian native raised in Africa, is a humble host and former restaurateur driven by a vision to establish a space for boundless opportunities in exploration, discovery, creativity, and philanthropy. Her passion lies in cultivating environments where individuals can feel genuine, positive, and engage in meaningful exchanges of thoughts and ideas. This commitment led her to Bocas del Toro, where, after exploring the island that is now home to Sweet Bocas, she embarked on a mission to turn her vision into reality.

Inspired by her father, a trailblazer who founded trade schools and vocational programs that positively impacted numerous lives, Annick places education at the heart of Sweet Bocas' mission. This dedication propels our team to transform Sweet Bocas into a platform that aligns with our values of sustainability, empowerment, and scholarship. Simultaneously, we strive to deliver an unparalleled high-end experience that transcends the boundaries of traditional luxury.
